Human-Centered Design. Purpose-Driven Strategy. Inclusive Impact.
Helping teams build products, programs, and workplaces that work — for everyone.
Hi there! My name is Destanee Charrois, and I am passionate about people having a great experience.
I am an aspiring product manager who has always been driven by the desire to make work and life better for people. My background in HR gave me a strong foundation in understanding how people experience systems — whether that’s a hiring process, a company culture, or a workplace tool. It also gave me the opportunity to foster my superpower of building relationships across teams, which is critical for a product manager.
In product management, I see an opportunity to still be people-focused, and be part of designing a wider variety of solutions. What excites me about an agile product development mindset is that it allows you to drive change in a way that’s proactive, iterative, and deeply user-centered. You’re not just improving processes — you’re building experiences that shape how people interact with technology and each other. This is the kind of impact I want to have.
Portfolio & Services.
The portfolio of my start in product management is here, and I offer services that allow me to create great experiences:
Whether it’s in recruitment, where it’s crucial to create a top candidate experience while meeting the needs of the business who’s searching for top talent;
or through DEI coaching, which creates more opportunities for individuals of any background to be themselves and pursue their dreams;
or through UX Design, where the user is at the forefront of designing a product to ensure a seamless experience for anyone who could use it.
In addition to creating a great experience, what connects all three of these pillars is an inherent consideration of various people’s experiences. In other words, DEI is a crucial underlying mindset to make sure that as many perspectives as possible are considered throughout a recruitment process so that top talent isn’t turned away, and that a product doesn’t create a difficult experience for any user.
Why Me?
I’m the best person to turn to for these needs because:
I have over 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, HR strategy, and stakeholder engagement
I have successfully led hiring programs across industries, improving processes and driving meaningful connections with both internal stakeholders, and between talent and opportunity
I’ve seen HR practices that work well, and ones to avoid
I’m from a diverse background myself as a neurodivergent woman of mixed ethnicity (Guyanese, French and Polish)
I grew up seeing people of different colours in the same household, and I want to live in a world where factors like this don’t get in the way of someone’s livelihood and passions
I have completed SAIT and Tacit Edge’s Applied Product Management course, and Google’s UX Design Certificate
My UX knowledge can facilitate some interesting crossover, such as updating a website page that shows a company’s recruitment process and values
